He drew a knife.<\/p>\n
He crossed the distance fast, slashing toward my ribs. I twisted aside, caught his forearm, and drove my shoulder into his chest. We slammed against the truck. His elbow struck my cheek hard enough to flash white across my vision.<\/p>\n
He came again.<\/p>\n
I trapped his wrist against the metal door and hit the nerve above his elbow. The knife clattered down. He grabbed my hair, pulled me backward, and drove me into a stack of plastic crates.<\/p>\n
Pain shot through my spine.<\/p>\n
I kicked his knee, broke his balance, and swept his ankle. He hit the concrete. Before he could recover, I pinned his arm behind him and pressed my forearm between his shoulders.<\/p>\n

He said nothing.<\/p>\n
